The pride of Sefton is a wide bean canal boat based on a traditional working canal boat. Located at Stanley Dock, JourneyMEN have been fortunate enough to have access to this amazing boat.
We aim to get as many Canal Boat trips in throughout the year as we can with the majority occurring over the summer due to weather. We currently have seven boat trips planned through April - October 2024, with each trip offering a new experience for our men. With Britain's canals and waterways in decline we aim to promote such a significant aspect of our culture and heritage.
Not only do we have JourneyMEN events taking place but we also community groups and charity trips to help showcase everything the waterways have to offer.
With the constant demands of everyday living these canal boats offer an space to everyday life and expose you to the beautiful nature all around us.
The 'Potential' is a staggering 65 feet long with a beam of 6 foot 10 inches which can hold up to 12 people per trip. With every amenity you could ask for it acts as a fantastic location to sail along the UK's waterways. JourneyMEN can also deliver skipper training courses, cruises to improve wellbeing and self-esteem and encourage a team environment to help with motivational exercises.
We are happy to announce that we will be bringing JourneyMEN events back to the 'Potential' from May 2024. Check our social media channels for information on all JourneyMEN narrowboat trips as well as our weekly events.
